Job Description:
Albatross Ventures is looking for qualified applicants for Frac Fueling. Frac Fuelers are responsible for a range of tasks including commissioning, operating, maintaining, optimizing, and decommissioning various fueling equipment for our clients. A strong emphasis on safety is essential for all activities. With a customer-focused approach, Frac Fuelers must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a sense of urgency to achieve and surpass operational goals. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain on-site fueling equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the supervisor, other Albatross Ventures team members, and occasionally with customers and their contractors to optimize equipment performance and operations.
- Assist in managing the performance of fueling units.
- Identify and report equipment issues and track data to assist in diagnosing problems or trends.
- Prepare reports and operational recommendations related to equipment.
- Complete required documentation and maintain logs of operating conditions, execution, and issues, reporting any irregularities.
- Regularly update and communicate with the Operations Manager.
- Support operation and maintenance activities, including those involving third parties.
- Adhere to Albatross Ventures and client safety policies and procedures.
- Identify, report, and address safety and environmental concerns.
- Perform general housekeeping duties and be familiar with Spill Prevention Plans.
- Comply with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Operate company vehicles as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience in the natural gas processing industry, with some knowledge of gas processing equipment, engines, and electrical components.
- Willingness to learn control systems.
- Experience with frac processes and safety is a plus but not required.
- Ability to learn safe handling practices for flammable liquids.
- Ability to understand and operate mechanical and electronic equipment used in diesel product measurement and control.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
- May need to obtain a commercial driver’s license and comply with commercial vehicle regulations.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening required before hire.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Skills and Abilities:
- Effective organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with minimal supervision.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals).
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Customer-focused.
- Ability to work collaboratively, follow directions, adhere to schedules, and pay attention to detail.
- Self-directed with the ability to perform duties independently.
- Proficiency in English.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Regularly required to use hand tools and equipment, engage in repetitive hand movements, and communicate verbally.
- Capable of working in noisy environments, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Occasionally required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand or walk for extended periods; remain seated for up to half the workday; enter confined spaces; and work in low-light areas.
Miscellaneous:
- Availability for all shifts and schedules.
- Willingness to work in various climate conditions.
- This is a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug testing.
